Einstein Medical Center Montgomery

In East Norriton, a brand new hospital has risen on the grounds of the former Woody’s Golf Center. Einstein Medical Center Montgomery will open in September. C. Caramanico & Sons is proud to be part of the construction team. Gilbane Construction is doing a great job leading the way. Haines and Kibblehouse is clearing the way for us to install the landscaping. C. Caramanico & Sons, Inc is installing over 20,000 trees, shrubs, and perennials on this soon to be green site. When it is done, there will be 42 acres of meadow grass alone!

PLANET Day of Service

We were happy to have participated in the PLANET Day of Service. What is the Day of Service you ask?

Every year PLANET (Professional Lawncare Network) organizes a day of service and opens up participation to lawn and landscape companies across the country. This coincides with National Volunteer Week and Earth Day. What a great opportunity for us to hear about the many opportunities to give back! You can see the map and a list of various projects completed and search by location.

Our crews participated in Chester, Pennsylvania at Jackie Robinson Little League. Baseball is said to be America’s sport. As true fans, we were happy to step up to bat! This was a fun way for us to participate too. In our project, we worked to renovate this little league baseball field by edging baselines and the infield radius. We spread new infield mix to level and topdress infield areas and cut and trim grass on entire field and fencelines. The crews worked on 3 fields overall and got them ready for their opening day, April 28th.

Glen Eagle Shopping Center - Glen Mills, Pa

Working on exciting new projects makes our job fun!

We were glad to be a part of preparations by Madison Marquette for the new grand opening of the Whole Foods store at Glen Eagle Shopping Center. With it’s unique and ‘healthy for you’ offerings, the Whole Foods store is an attractive addition to the Glen Eagle Shopping Center.

Thanks to the Caramanico team our student athletes now enjoy a consistently clean playing surface. We have recently been experiencing water/flooding/mud issues on our synthetic turf field and Mike and his crew used their storm water management expertise to solve these problems.

Office Building Lot Expansion Project Progresses

Landscaping projects can happen at any time of the year but often are associated with the warmer months. With the recent mild weather we have been having, it is good to start thinking about getting these types of projects started. If you want to create more useable space in your paring area or yard, a retaining wall may be an important piece of the project.

In Media, Pa. a project is underway which involves enlarging a parking lot. In this project, excavation and construction of a retaining wall are the key components to achieving the lot expansion and insuring successful storm management.

This project incorporates a modular block retaining wall to extend the storm water retention basin. The basin was relocated on the property extending both storm water inlet and storm water exit pipe.

Winter Landscaping

Do landscaping projects occur throughout the year? -Even in the colder winter months? Yes. Absolutely!

One recent winter project where our crews have been working is taking place at Saint Joseph’s University . The project entitled the John ’60 and Mary Hennings Post Learning Commons is now underway.

We are happy to be part of such an exciting project set to enrich the lives and learning of the students at SJU. Stop back for more updates!
